Moon+ is awesome. It will let you save an individual book to a home screen or a folder, so you can just click on the book's icon to read it, without having to load the program up and then find it on a list. It will let you read either Nook (epub) or Kindle (mobi) formats. PDF also, I think. I bought World of Warcraft: Chronicles of War, it's Rise of the Horde, The Last Guardian, Tides of Darkness, & Beyond the Dark Portal all in one. You can add unlimited number of publications found on Google Play Books.
Your own books should be uploaded either in pdf or epub format, without DRM (). Once the books appear in your personal library on Google Play, you will be able to access not only from any computer (via a web browser), but also a tablet or smartphone (via or Google Play Books applications).
The books will be synced across all devices: latest-read locations, notes, and bookmarks. My general advice is that, where possible, try to choose epub file instead of pdf. Epub file is much more flexible.
It allows users to adjust several settings. You can change font size, typeface, or you can switch to night mode (white letters on black background).
